DARK WATERS
I’ve always been drawn to movement as a form of storytelling, where emotions unfold not through words, but through the body’s instinctive reactions. This project is an exploration of that idea, a physical journey into fear, resistance, and ultimately, release. It’s about the moment before freedom, when fear still lingers, but the body moves anyway. Karaba’s dance is raw, unfiltered, because breaking free from anything is never neat.
Visually, I wanted to strip everything down to the essentials: light, darkness, and movement. I strongly believe that simplicity holds power. I let the smallest gestures carry weight, the negative space speak, and the music in between reveal as much as the movement itself.
